Long time since I’ve heard of Jeff Beck and even longer since the days of High Ho Silver Lining, he looks good and still plays good, nice clip. His backing group are quite awesome as well, and even thought this might be regarded as sexist or whatever other rubbish they drag up these days, a female backing group is unusual the last time I saw a female band was the Bangles.

Jeff Beck seems to be all over the place, either he is touring in the US, Canada, Europe, Jeff always seems to put on a great show… Thanks for visiting and commenting…

    Rhonda Smith rocks that bass!

She used to be with Prince, which was back in the day…

Hah – seen Jeff Beck and Prince. Beck was better.

When I was young, I remember the question: who was better, Beck or Clapton…

          • Alex Autin February 29, 2012 / 11:28 am

            Clapton….

You read my mind… I did seem once, and it was all blues…

Yes, Clapton, but each is great in his own way.
Prince could be up there too if his ego didn’t get in the way of his performance…

Or Dicky Betts. A little more restricted to the one style, but oh so melodic.

I’ll throw in more, Buddy Guy. He plays great blues tunes…

I see (and agree with) your Buddy Guy, and raise you Stanley Jordan.
I’ve never seen anyone else do what he does as well as him.

Sadly, I’m adding the first dead one of the bunch: Stevie Ray Vaughn.
And I don’t understand how he’s still dead.
Seriously, On the resuscitate orders I’ll fill out with the hospital when the time eventually comes, I’m just going to tell them to crank his version of “If The House Is A’ Rockin” up to 11 and then get out of the way.

Your two additions are excellent, by the way

For the guitarists long passed away, Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman…
