I have used the book type road maps… No fuss, no muss..
I still keep maps in my car and they come in useful… I don’t have GPS or a smartphone!
When traveling, I still will take a map book with me…
I still use them, I don’t have a sat nav , it is more fun without….my son is also a good map reader. Anyway I always go left when he says right, so what is the point. He usually gets me out of the wrong turns. 🙂
I’ll look at a map once, maybe twice, and then I’m off and running…
I know some people who still keep these in their cars…

Useless to me, they always have been.
Back in the day, I’d put them to good use…
