Very similar to Taiwan where I’ve been 4 times, never been to Vietnam, but some of my relatives and friends spent about 2 weeks visiting the most interesting spots and returned completely delighted with this country… Last but not least: the French love the Vietnamese cuisine, sooo yummy! 🙂
Don, I do recommend it to you: it’s very tasty and light, nothing to do with the Chinese or Japanese cuisine… try one of their yummy soups(pho), spring rolls, grilled duck&shrimps or “lok-lak”: grilled tender beef “squares” with rice noodles&oyster sauce… simply divine! 🙂
A refined delicious lunch or dinner that you enjoy and appreciate can be real pleasures… 🙂
