I clicked like, but time flies by so fast. And yet, things get done so slowly. Gosh, 2015! My first grandchild was born in 2000… since then I have been blessed with 9 more with one in the arms of Jesus. So, I fear for what legacy they will have when they are adults. The adults that are making the decisions for our future generations seem to be forgetting the future generations!
I was just thinking about that the other day, what stores will be the first with the Xmas stuff. It seems that it starts earlier every year. Nothing like rushing our lives away.
I was just joking with Calvin yesterday that it’s now the Christmas quarter no longer only one day a year 😨 pending Christmas songs to drive shoppers insane lol
OMG! It has become ridiculous! A couple of years ago, the Christian radio station that I used to listen to had one person that wanted to play one Christmas song before Thanksgiving and so they did this back and forth thing and then had the public vote… they played it before Thanksgiving and I quit listening to the station. It is absolutely ridiculous that by the time the actual holidays come you are already sick of all of the commercialization of it that they hold no meaning. Even for a lot of the Christians! No where in the Bible does it tell you when He was born or to celebrate His birth. It does, however, tell you when He was crucified, died, was buried and rose again and we are to celebrate THAT! Most churches spend more on the birth than on the resurrection! And it drives me bonkers when Christians use the word “Easter” for the Resurrection. I am not judging, mind you, most don’t even know… tradition is usually the reason, but the pastors are responsible to teach from the pulpit what it really is and not call it Easter (which is the name of the Pagan Goddess of Fertility, hence the chicks and bunnies). I always say Happy Resurrection Sunday as that is my favorite holiday. I personally don’t ‘celebrate’ Christmas in the traditional sense, but my husband likes to give gifts so I’m the one who ends up doing the shopping online. This year, he’s on his own since he has all the credit cards! LOL
I’ll see if I can figure it out! It’s beautiful! And when I took the picture, then next day, the tree was naked and the grass was covered in the leaves! Timing was perfect!
Figured it out, though its an older picture than the one I took a couple of years ago! You can still see the beauty of the fire orange leaves! And there is a blanket forming on the ground so it was likely the last day they were on the tree!

I am not a religious person, and haven’t been for a long time. Christmas and Easter, are just another day(s) to me…
