A Pondering Mind

A little of this. A little of that.

Two Things That Piss Me Off

First one is political ads on TV. They actually don’t say much of anything meaningful, as in what they really stand for. What we get is mostly bullshit and attacking their opponents. It seems to get worse, as the election cycle comes and goes.  No wonder politics sucks. Democrats & Republicans are both guilty of slinging the smears, lies, and whatever horse shit they can say.

Two, It’s the beginning of November, already the Xmas ads are starting. Though a couple have started a few days before Halloween, it seems it starts earlier and earlier every year. I see no need for it.

I ask, what is worse: political ads or early Xmas ads?

  2. Both piss me off as well! Thank you for saying it! I am sick of the over-commercialization of the major holidays just to make as much money as they can.

As for every election, it sickens me how much money is spent on mud-slinging instead of stating what their platform is, what they stand for, what their plans are once elected. To be honest, the first ones to throw mud are Democrats and I feel that Republicans should not spend time nor money defending themselves but continue on with their main platform.

Another thing that makes me sick is how much money is spent on these elections! $100M I heard tonight, I’m not sure if that’s combined or just one party. Either way, that is absolutely sickening when we have a National Debt of $18 Trillion dollars! With so many people out of work or working part-time, we get emails asking to give to the party…. but POTUS has been spending OUR TAX DOLLARS running around the country fundraising, at the tune of anywhere from $20,000 a seat to $120,000 a seat! The same with Hillary Clinton! I don’t know of any Republican that can run around the country and command that kind of money to heard them speak.

Anyway, I agree with you. Both piss me off too!

    1. Hillary is a lot smarter than the Tea Party Loons, and other right-wing nut bags. I have no use for them, and never will. And anyone who likes to cut down the president, are in a word: Assholes..

  4. Our political ads in Canada aren’t anything like the American ones so they are definitely less annoying here. However, since most of the limited TV I watch happens to be on American channels, I’m subjected to them. I’m always amazed at how it’s only about bashing the opponent. As for the Christmas ads – winter in Canada is rough enough without having to deal with the stress of Christmas shopping before I’ve even packed up the Hallowe’en decorations.

  6. Political ads – so much out-of-context, implied BS. Both parties, liars; their interest is in winning, or maintaining or gaining power, not about anything the people might want. They disgust me. At least the Christmas ads are obvious – I know they want my money. Capitalism at its finest.

  8. LOL ! ! See what politics can do. I’m waiting for someone to make a comment on Obama being a Kenyan, and homosexuals the cause of 9/11, Social Security a Ponzi scheme, Sarah Palin is a genius, or illegal immigrants carrying Ebola virus to be terminated humanely.

        1. BTW, I never said he wasn’t American. I was just saying that he is biracial and he is half Kenyan and half Caucasian. You got overly defensive. I gladly unsubscribed from your blog, however, I would appreciate that you would remove my comments from you page referenced below.

Apparently you don’t have a pondering mind. You just jump to conclusions. I was not making accusations. I was just stating facts because someone had made a comment about someone saying he is Kenyan. So I just told the truth. I meant no offense to anyone by it. I was simply stating facts.

Please remove my comments from the page “Two Things That Piss Me Off” as I cannot do it.

  10. The political ads are just evil. The Xmas ads are merely money grubbing so, I’m going with the political ads being the most disgusting because at least people with the Xmas ads are just trying to sell stuff to us. The political ads are simply ugly bashing bullies. Blah.

I think political ads are worse. Slightly worse.
I also hate the propaganda of two things that should be important facts in a citizen/person life: its religion and political choices
    Have a good day!
