   I think happiness is definitely possible without pain. But since everything is such a mess we tell ourselves we get something from the pain of life. I don’t think it’s necessary. I think it wears us down and out and takes parts of us away. I was tremendously happy all of my life until all of the pain that killed the people I loved and there is no making up for that…ever. No pain is perfect and wonderful and happiness. The rest, at least for me, is lies.

   It is so sorrowfully true…There are so many sayings regarding the yin and yang of life. Pain is simply part of life. I don’t know if you necessarily feel your strength in the experience of pain. I think for some it can destroy them. It’s ironic that this saying be associated with Jim Morrison.
