A Pondering Mind

A little of this. A little of that.

A Pondering Moment

While I was reading the Sunday newspaper, a photo caught my attention. It was the one taken at Kent State University. The killing of four people by the Ohio National Guardsmen. And of course the young woman, Mary Ann Vecchio knelt down by one of the bodies. This happened on May 4, 1970, during the Vietnam War protests.

What struck me, was that this happened 40 years ago, and I was just a 21 years old. Now that it is 2014, I asked myself, where the hell did the time go?

  1. Where did the lesson(s) learned at Kent State go? You & everyone else has aged, but age seems to have lessened the lesson. 😎

    1. That’s just it. As time goes by, the lesson(s) learned and taught, have seem to have gone off the beaten path. Its probably a different age and a different world we live in..

  2. My question is: WHY ARE WE STILL AT WAR? Next question: WHERE ARE THE PROTESTERS NOW?

  3. I know nothing of the incident you are referring to but I know what you mean about time. It is so strange how everything changes and yet nothing has changed.

    1. Well, some things do change, but for the most part, everything stays the same…
