Big Cities

“The way our big cities change sucks. The beauty of cities was that they were edgy, sometimes even a little dangerous. Artists, poets, and activists could come and unify and create different kinds of scenes. Not just fashion scenes, scenes that were politically active. Big cities are getting so high-end oriented, business corporate fashion, fashion not in an artistic sense but in a corporate sense. For me that edgy beauty of cities is lost, wherever you go.”

  1. Oh gosh…. (Yep, I said that.) 😀
I stay away from cities as much as possible! We go to Sydney or Melbourne, occasionally, to see a show; and we go to watch (for the moment) dance comps. But, apart from that I get my kicks right here in my beautiful regional area of NSW. It does feel good to be happy in my own home! Who cares what others do? I’m too busy and happy to even notice!
How are you? It’s good to see you posting…

    1. Myself, I like the big cities: New York, Chicago and Baltimore. Also Montreal in Canada.
I am doing fine, and surviving the hot, steamy weather. Go for a walk, and come home drenched with sweat, the clothes practically glued to my back.
Also, been doing a lot of book reading too.

  2. I lived 9 years in Paris and I will not return. One word can describe the Parisian life, it’s stress.

But I am thinking that Valencia in Spain should be my next destination. Or Palermo on Sicily.
