“Every time I hear a political speech or I read those of our leaders, I am horrified at having, for years, heard nothing which sounded human. It is always the same words telling the same lies. And the fact that men accept this, that the people’s anger has not destroyed these hollow clowns, strikes me as proof that men attribute no importance to the way they are governed; that they gamble – yes, gamble – with a whole part of their life and their so called ‘vital interests.”

I just posted this on Gigi’s reblog of this post. “I notice the way they repeat the same bullshit canned lines over and over again, over time, to different audiences.”
It is like career politicians have a set script and are too stupid to think of developing anything else.

There should be term limits for all the different offices, whether its the Senate, House, governor, mayor, etc., etc.
I agree with you, that it’s the same old blah blah blah bullshit, mudslinging, and lying fuckers.

A depressingly timely quote from Camus.
