Morning (or whatever time it is there), Don. You know, I have a regular habit, regardless of how I’m feeling, of smiling and saying good morning to everyone I pass, especially along the river path on the way to town. Many people will respond in return, but some just looked at me (or not) and remain with a grumpy expression on their faces, so I used to think to myself, ‘Oh, he/she/they are a grumpy or miserable s*d’. But over time, I began to think. Perhaps, these people are having a bad day, perhaps they have lost a loved one or pet, going through a bitter divorce, lost their job, perhaps they’ve received a diagnosis of very poor health or cancer, etc. Now, I just see them kindly and with compassion. Just my view, and it makes my day a better one, too, my friend X 😘

    1. Good morning, Ellie. I agree with you that it could be any number of reasons why some people are like that. X
