Very sad. In Florida although we can have wild fires and planned burns they no longer occur because developers strip the land entirely. A tree root might interfere with construction. Very sad.
A friend of mine on Martha’s Vineyard had photos that were clearly affected by the smoke. I live on the border of Mexico and I remember a time when smoke from the Mexican state of Chiapas filled our skies and we could even smell the smoke. 1500+ miles. It was amazing and scary.

As early as Sunday evening, I could smell and see the smoke, and today it seems to be worse.
