1. It’s settling into our Green Mountain valleys here in Vermont as well. Oy.

2. Very sad. In Florida although we can have wild fires and planned burns they no longer occur because developers strip the land entirely. A tree root might interfere with construction. Very sad.

3. A friend of mine on Martha’s Vineyard had photos that were clearly affected by the smoke. I live on the border of Mexico and I remember a time when smoke from the Mexican state of Chiapas filled our skies and we could even smell the smoke. 1500+ miles. It was amazing and scary.

   1. As early as Sunday evening, I could smell and see the smoke, and today it seems to be worse.
