“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.”
~ John Burroughs
A little of this. A little of that.
“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.”

drab. dark. gloomy. shitty. crappy day.
you meet all kinds of people in the supermarket, laundromat, drug store, and other places. but you knew that.
friday afternoon at the supermarket. chaos.
spill the beans. face gets redder.
to know thyself, works for me.
3:00 a.m. in the Eastern Time Zone is dark, possible moon shining, and stars, not so many with all the light pollution, in the cities. To go along with the darkness, is silence, not 100% but close enough. And most people are sound asleep, and missing the all the goodness that 3:00 a.m. brings to the table.
it would be nice, when you go to the store for a loaf of bread, and it is already toasted, and each loaf had a light toast, another would be medium, the other would be dark toast. think of the time saved while you take out the slices of your favorite toast, knowing that you didn’t have to use the toaster, and the electricity you save. its like going green, and saving time, energy and money.
the words regurgitate from the brain, down into the spine, then down through both arms straight on to the fingers on both hands, in which they do their diligent job of typing the words, which have flown freely from its beginning of its journey. voila! the job is completed. the story is written.
everything is going well with me, in the niche of the planet I inhabit.
just read my horoscope (Aquarius), and it said I will not see eye-to-eye with family, friends and relative. conversations can be rancorous, and one sided. best to keep a tight lip, and let the time of day move on.
Without much sleep, I am sitting here, cup of coffee beside me, reading blog posts, and trying to figure out, what the hell am I doing up, when I should have gone back to bed. Of course there’s the nap routine, then there’s countless cups of strong, black coffee. Then there’s just go with the flow, and see what comes of it.
I’ve been wondering if anything exciting, bad or both happened in London, England, at 3:00 a.m.. GMT. Are there people up and about, and what were they doing, probably some things not wanting to know about.
slouched on the couch
good coffee
good book
good day
life is good
Morning thought: coffee, self medicating stimulant.
Sunday morning. Somewhat awake. Need coffee.
Sunday silence. Sunday sun. Sunday serenity.
Today is the new normal, to be replaced tomorrow by the new normal, and the next day a new normal will commence. See the pattern? Just a thought.
Better to write it right, and/or writes it write.
Naked trees. Crows cawing. Blue sky.
Quietude and darkness at 3:00 a.m. For most people, both are conducive to a good night’s sleep. Just a thought.
a beautiful day
When strolling the sidewalks, and pathways of the parks, you are more than likely will meet some interesting people, from all walks of life.
lost in thoughts
Funny how shit may sometimes happen at 3:00 a.m.
Coffee: it livens up the mood.
Drumming my fingers on the table. Waiting for the new normal to arrive.
A brand new month is upon us. March, which has 31 days, means there are 31 3:00 a.m.s. Anything may or will happen at that early hour of the morning. Its a wait and see, or beware of the unknown.
Good conversation. Great times. Happy people.
High sugar content. A diabetic’s nightmare.
Even though it is still winter, spring cleaning has begun.
Into the void. No exit found.
Life’s short. Make the best of it.
Do it yourself, works for me.
High on life is all good.
Let’s get along, for no other reason than to get along.
Moving forward. Not looking back. What’s the point of it.
The expression, “you’re older than dirt.” So, how old is dirt?
Lazy day. Idling by. Forward moving.
Walking in freshly falling snow. Heavenly.
I wear a mask in public, to protect you and me. Its the right thing to do.
Never said I was perfect. Far from it.
I’m old school…. because I’m old.
Lack of thoughts. Mind’s on vacation.
TV weatherman says more snow on the horizon. Its winter, so it comes with the territory.
Gloomy weather casts a weary face.
So… here I sit, doing nothing.
February, the shortest month of the year, is already at the mid way point. Before you know it, the month of March will be here, and February will just be a memory.
Life: it is what it is.
Keeping the beat. Life is grand.
Walking on eggshells. An uncomfortable feeling.
I am I. You are you.
So today, I did a load of laundry. Just one of many of life’s rituals.
Plodding along like an old ox.
Sunday, we got quite a bit of snow. Tuesday, more snow is on the way. Possible 3-5 inches is on tap. Hopefully, I’ll get a walk or two in, as I do like walking in it, as long as it is not windy and blowing in my face. That makes it a miserable time… well I shall see what tomorrow brings.
Power naps. Recharges the low batteries.
Brain freeze. Brain cramp. Warped mind.
Think freely. Speak freely. Live freely.
Soon, better days are coming. Maybe.
Today is one of those days, that I can’t seem to get myself motivated to do anything. Maybe its good thing, and let the idle body’s batteries recharge, then I will be good to go.
What is the big deal with putting ketchup on scrambled eggs? I’ll admit that I will put it on. It all depends on how much I really want ketchup or not. But, I do love black pepper on my eggs.
Walking helps control my glucose levels, bodyweight and clears out the head. With that said, I feel good about my body and mind.
Everyday is a new day, and different from yesterday. Tomorrow will be different than today.
“Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habit.”
~ Laozi
President Joe Biden wears a $10,000 Rolex watch. Some people on the right are making a big deal of it. Me personally, I really don’t give a fuck what he wears. Give me a break.
Windy and cold
Wind chill factors
Its January
Its winter
This is what its all about
The day has finally arrived. Four years of clownish, inept, buffoonery, hell, has come to a close. At 12:00 noon, January 20, 2021 will be the beginning of a new, saner and hopefully get things done, president.
Four years of whatever you want to call it, soon will be just a distant memory. History will not treat it kindly.
1/20/2021. The end is in sight.
Yesterday was the old norm.
Today, the new one.
Tomorrow?
New day. New challenges, or not.
Beautiful day to kick back. Yep!
New year. New month. New day.
2020 finished. Time to move on.
Only two days left of 2020, then we can put this upside down year, in the rear view mirror.
When Joe Biden becomes the next president, he will have something in common with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. That is cleaning up the economic mess that was created by their predecessors: Reagan/Bush 41, and Bush 43. Biden does have a tough road ahead of him, with dealing with the economy, pandemic, etc., etc. …
Change is coming. Finally, at 12:00 pm, January 20, 2020 the the four year shit show in Washington, will be coming to an end. Normalcy, sanity and reconnecting the country back to dealing with other nations, with some great people in Biden’s cabinet.
Let’s hope we never have to go through again, with the clowns that was occupying the White House.
Love things in common. Hopefully, we can live in harmony.
2020 the year from hell
Its Labor Day 2020
and the moron
president is still
in office
In two more months
we can send him
packing
Polls
Pools
Polls
With all the
different polls
that inundate
us with the
latest who
is ahead
who is behind
blah blah blah
The only poll
that counts and
really matters
is at the polling
booth on November 3rd
Hopefully come
November 3rd
we rid of
‘the sky is falling’
president
A president who
praises police …
and also a vigilante
killer in Kenosha
So, you either
praise one or
the other, not
both
Now to watch
out for men dressed
in all black, flying
in a plane over
my building
The sky is falling
president, should
be removed from
office immediately.
Everyday it seems
that he gets more
outrageous with the
bullshit he spouts
off.
Again. He must be
removed ASAP!
Kamala Harris is an excellent pick. Joe Biden made the right choice, and won’t take any shit from Trump and his minions.
2020: the year of not knowing which end is up.
2020: the year the world got turned on its head
Is it just me, wondering if this country has lost its collective soul, and if so, can the damage be repaired?
If age is only a number, then I don’t feel as old as what my age is. And that’s what keeps me going.
Now that the Coronavirus Covid-19 has showed up in the White House, is all I have to say is, “What goes around, comes around.”
To keep my sanity intact, I tend to not pay much attention to what number 45 has to say. I’m pretty sure most of you would know who I’m talking about.
I’m really liking the cleaner air, as it makes the walks more enjoyable.
You can’t get nothing from nothing. There!
When the coffee is good, then I’m good to go.
Taking my second walk of the early evening, I did not see any other people, nor an auto passing by me in either direction. It was pure silence, and I was thinking, this how it must be on a no-mans island in the middle of the ocean. And then, the silence could be deafening, or golden. I guess it depends how one looks at it.
Welcome to the new reality.
Took a walk in the heavy, wet snow. Of course I got kind of wet, I mean really wet, and I seen two other people outside, doing the same thing. It was enjoyable walk, and it helps keep the sugar in check, and also helps with keeping the mind focused.
In these dire times, I reccomend a good walk and enjoy every minute of it.
With all that is going on in the world, my coffee imbibing has started to increase. Is it a good or bad thing?
Since COVID-19 has made its presence, it has changed the ways of life. When I go outside to take my walks, there seems to be very few, if that doing the same thing. Also, not that many cars are seen. Its so surreal, its like living in the Twilight Zone.
