Joanne Lipman
Thinking positive about one’s self, is a good thing.
All the problems of the world could be settled easily if men were only willing to think. The trouble is that men very often resort to all sorts of devices in order not to think, because thinking is such hard work.
-Thomas J. Watson, American Scientist
thinking silently
a smattering
of thoughts
are swirling
in my mind
nothing bad
nothing harmful
nothing slanderous
just normal
thinking
that I usually
do throughout
the course
of the day
brainstorming + bottomless mugs of strong black coffee >>> produces wild and wacky ideas
nobody
ever said
that writing
comes easy
I write differently from what I speak, I speak differently from what I think, I think differently from the way I ought to think, and so it all proceeds into deepest darkness.
~ Franz Kafka
I write differently from what I speak, I speak differently from what I think, I think differently from the way I ought to think, and so it all proceeds into deepest darkness.
~Franz Kafka
“Thinking begins when you ask really difficult questions.”
– Slavoj Žižek
Today was
a strange
day
Woke this
morning
thinking
that today
was Saturday
but it turned
out to be
Friday
IT was
eerily
a quiet day
odd for a
Friday
Come tomorrow
it being
Saturday
I should
be
back to
a normal
human
self

I came to a point where
I needed solitude and
just stop the machine
of thinking and enjoying
what they call living,
I just wanted to lie in
the grass and look at
the clouds.

There’s the saying(s) “time goes by to fast,’ “where did the time go?’ “time sure flies when you are having fun,” etc, etc.
If you ever want time to go by slow, pull up a chair, sit, relax and give the clock your undivided attention, and witness time passing by.
Call it meditation by clock.
Sitting on the couch
writing this post
while watching TV
or is the TV
watching me
Could it be I
am doing both
It could be that
I am multitasking
Its not really a
complicated thing
to do
What I have been
watching for most
of the day Blue
Bloods and Seinfeld
Speaking of Seinfeld
I still laugh watching
Jerry and the gang
as it’s one of the
best TV sitcoms
I do this real moron
thing, it’s called
thinking, and I’m not a
very good American
because I like to form
my own opinion.
George Carlin

Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draws it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.
– The Buddha
