Has your life changed or turned upside down, inside out, don’t know which end is up, due to all the different things that have happened in the year 2020?
Working from home has not turned out to be the morale booster I thought it would be, although it might be different if there was somewhere other than home to go at the end of the work day.
I erroneously believed that the quiet would help my creativity, but I’ve struggled with my current work-in-progress.
I miss getting together with friends for a meal, hearing live music, and traveling — even business trips!
So yes, this year has been hard. I’ve tried to be gentle with myself; success in that regard is variable.
Since I’m retired, some of those challenges that you had to face, didn’t affect me. But other things did, like getting a haircut, what stores do I dare go in, etc. So, yes it was hard on me too.
An underlying anxiety in general. I’m also very selective where I go. I never thought food-shopping would cause anxiety. And the scarcity of toilet paper is seriously annoying.
I was used to working from home. I was NOT used to having very little human interaction except through the phone or computer, however! My daily walks have taken on increased importance, and it was so fortunate that I had recently moved into a new apartment with a balcony for gardening. I really don’t know if I will ever to to another movie, eat in a restaurant, or even get coffee from the shop a few doors down. Why take the chance?
I’ve been doing a lot of walking, maybe 3-5 times a day, taking different routes. As far as movies and restaurants, I feel that I am still ready for that scene.
Pretty much, yes.

definitely changed…can’t really be around the kids, and don’t feel comfortable eating out or shopping.

Shopping doesn’t bother me. Other places, I am very selective as to where I go and enter.

Yes indeed and none of it was related to Covid19.

To think we actually celebrated. My 2020 has been disastrous. If only I could have overslept it.

I wouldn’t go blaming 2020.
It seems just like every other
year to be me 😎

I did my best to not let what is going on bother me. It helped keep my glucose and blood pressure under control.

Yes, it’s been pretty rough. Can’t wait to breathe a sigh of relief when all this is over.

It looks like its gong to be a while, for this to be over with.

Now that’s it’s getting cooler here in TX, I will probably resume an evening walk.
