2018 Looking Back
The first few months was not all that great. I was mildly overweight, sluggish, and sleeping a lot more than I should have been. Also, I would make numerous trips to the bathroom, and getting weaker each day. Then, on the night of May 14, I so fucking weak, that I need help to getting up off of the couch. i told my live-in partner to call for the ambulance. Off to the emergency room, and the nurse started immediately working on me. I have no idea how many IVs went through, as my glucose reading was sky high. I was in ICU for 2 1/2 days, still feeding me the IVs, and that was when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
The second half of the year, I have made great strides, as the A1C is normal, blood pressure is very good, and my lungs are clear, even after 40 plus years of smoking. I actually quit smoking, the same day I was admitted in the hospital. plus my weight is where it should be.
Now, I watch what I eat and drink, and it’s working out, for the better.
